Does a nintendo Ds perform with no the leading screen?
Question by epszxz: Does a nintendo Ds function devoid of the top screen?
I’m arranging to use it as a stand alone emulator for Nintendo’s Nes, GameBoy,
GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance Methods. If doable for Atari games also.
A further point, does the Ds or 1 of it variants have speakers on the bottom portion?
Could this be accomplished, I’m a newbe at this.

I’m obtaining a Nintendo dsi for christmas and i’m truly excited but i was just asking yourself about one thing.
I’ve heard that the camera superior is genuinely bad, is this true? And if so, is there anyway to strengthen the top quality? I heard that you can get a flash for it, does that increase the quality or does it just give it a flash?
I’m pretty curious so i’d appreciate your support!

NO you cant unless of course you stick a slr lens produced for the outside (wont take place) and flash with only give it flash will not improve good quality sorry its a gaming machine not a camera its not really beneficial

Well, I don’t know about the top screen but the thing plays GBA games.
Plus, it is way easier to play emulated games on the computer, and you don’t risk losing over 100$ on modding a DS.

I think the first DS has speakers on the bottom half
I don’t think that the bottom half will work by itself because the wires inside it flow in a circuit, by removing the top half, you have broken the circuit. you could probably open it up and rewire it but

the ds can work without the top screen and the speakers are the the little holes on each side of the top screen but if u r plannin 2 play games on the ds then it is reli best 2 get a cheap new 1 cuz i broke my tops screen but their was no point so i sold it 4 spare parts . hope this helps

But, the camera quality isn’t that bad.. it’s almost like a cellphone, but a bit better

the cameras are good, but not great.
the DSi flash accessory isn’t worth it — it’s just an LED that stays turned on, so you’d be better off with a little flashlight. however, i’ve had some decent luck with night-time pictures with no flash at all, and they came out better on my DSi than my friend’s iPhone

you can scroll forward to see other examples. there are some hi-def pictures scattered around (from a Kodak 8MP digicam) but you can tell from the size. the smaller ones that don’t zoom in are from the DSi.
