How difficult will it be for a nintendo fan to use an xbox 360 controller?
Question by Pickle Dude: How tricky will it be for a nintendo fan to use an xbox 360 controller?
I’ve been with nintendo all my life and presently very own a wii. People say the xbox 360 controller is straightforward to use but I want to know how hard it’ll be for a nintendo fan like me to transition to making use of the xbox360 controller. I attempted the ps3 controller and it was exremely hard for me to use. Will it be like that for the xbox 360 controller?

Pretty easy. I was a Nintendo fan until the Gamecube which is when I switched to the original Xbox. The layout is similar to a SNES/N64 controller which is something I was pretty familiar with. You just have to get used to the analogs not being level. The main buttons are the colored A,B, X, and Y (mainly A and X though B is used to cancel actions) along with the right trigger for shooting games and the thumb sticks for movement. The shoulder buttons aren’t used much so don’t worry about putting your fingers on them and the D-pad is usually for selecting of items in some games.
The 360 controller is much more comfortable to me. It’s best to rest the lower part of the pads of your thumbs on the analogs to where your thumbs or pointing up slightly instead of bending them down and cramping on a PS3 controller.

Not difficult at all because they are both fairly large controllers. All I play is N64 and Xbox. Super Smash Bros and COD!

360 controllers are really easy to use. my cousin got an xbox 360 for christmas 2009 and had had a wii and ds for quite a while and he got used to the controls really quickly. when i first got my xbox i had never played before and got used to the controls so fast. the only gaming that wasn’t pc i had done before that point was on a ps2 and i never got to grips with that.
since getting an xbox 360 i’ve tried a ps3 controller and found them rather awkward because of where the analog sticks are. for me the 360 controllers are much more comfortable.

i was a nintendo junky b4 xbox. i learned the controller while playing halo on the original xbox. at first it was a little hard for me bc of the looking w/ one stick and running w/ another. most games allow u to adjust the sensitivity so ur person looks slower or faster. i had to adjust it so mine would look slower (i kept running into walls) and slowly increase the sensitivity as i got better. i still have problems w/ the ps controllers for some reason, but im fine w/ the xbox controller. i honestly like xbox more than nintendo now.

Its easy. They are different consoles wii is motion gaming while xbox isn`t. Xbox has easier controls then PS3 (for me anyways). Espiccaly on first-third person shooters and the buttons are bigger and the controls are just easier than PS3. Hope I helped

DS Lite is probably the best
Slim
Has adjustable light settings
and pretty much everything else original has.
Original DS
Kinda bulky
no adjustable settings
and thats the difference
Oh, also the DS lite comes in different colors and the Original only comes in 2
You wont see the Original in stores no more though.

First of all I think you meant to say Nintendo Dsi and the Nintendo DsLite. Anyway if your into pics and customization then get the Dsi. If your serious about gaming more than apps and features than go with your DsLite. But it gets better if you wait till next year Nintendo will be releasing the new 3ds which will feature 3D capabilities and awesome features.

The DS Lite was simply a remake of the original DS that Nintendo released. The main difference is the smaller size. Other differences are that it has a bigger stylus (the pen thing you use to tap the screen,) The two screens are brighter, the battery lasts slightly longer, the microphone is centered, and it has a different charger. The drawbacks to the DS lite are that the L and R trigger buttons are smaller and harder to press, when you put a Gameboy Advanced game into the bottom slot, it sticks out, and Ive found that it isn’t as durable as the original DS. They both play the same games and work the exact same way. My vote is for the Ds Lite as the better of the two, simply because its better to put in your pocket or in your bag and Nintendo basically took what people were saying bad about the DS and they incorporated it into the Lite. Hope that helped.

Differences in the DS Lite over the original style DS Weight: 218 g / 7.69 oz (21% lighter than the DS). Dimensions: 133 mm × 73.9 mm × 21.5 mm (vs. 148.7 mm × 84.7 mm × 28.9 mm – 42% less volume than the DS). In Imperial units, the DS Lite is 5.24 in × 2.9 in × 0.85 in. Extended battery life compared to the DS. With a full three-hour charge the battery will last fifteen to nineteen hours on the lowest brightness setting; five to eight hours on the highest brightness setting (both are dependent on the type of game activity). After 500 charges, battery life can be expected to drop. The DS was supplied with a 850mAh battery, while the DS Lite has a 1000mAh battery. Brighter, more durable top and bottom LCD screens, with four levels of brightness. Custom designed to be more resistant to shock. Larger stylus, making it easier to hold (stylus dimensions: length 87.5 mm × 4.9 mm vs. 75.0 mm × 4.0 mm of the DS). The stylus is now also side-loaded and located next to the power switch, making it easier to reach when needed. Sturdier top hinge. In Japan, the wrist strap no longer includes a thumb stylus; in North America, Australia and Europe, the wrist strap is no longer included at all, even though there is still a place to tie it on. The D-pad was reduced to 18.6 mm across (16% smaller than the DS), but the A, B, X, and Y buttons retain the same dimensions. There are lines on the D-pad, a design shared with the Wii Remote and Game Boy Micro. Eight colors: Ice Blue, Enamel Navy, Polar White (Crystal White in Japan), Coral Pink (Noble Pink in Japan), Onyx/Black (Jet Black in Japan), Metallic Rose, Gloss Silver, and Crimson and Matte Black. New external extension connection, rendering it incompatible to accessories for the Game Boy Advance EXT2 port (power cords and headphone adapters). The new connector is used for the power cord only. The power button is now turned into a power slider and is moved to the side. The redesign of the system has caused Game Boy Advance games to protrude out of the system by 1 cm. To provide a seamless surface and to keep out dirt, dust, and other debris, a filler cartridge is included. It uses the same processors as the DS, but made on a smaller custom process so they require less power. The built-in microphone is now located between the top and bottom screens of the DS Lite. The new Crimson and Matte Black DS Lite now has textured, non-reflective black plastic over its entire bottom section rather than an external glossy plastic shell, which may help reduce fingerprints and grease from settling.

The ds lite is the newer one. I have a ds lite and i’ve used a regular ds before. In my opinion the ds lite looks nicer (sleeker) and is more comfortable to use since it’s literally lighter. I’m not sure if there is a difference in graphics, but if there is i would assume the ds lite has better one as it is the newer one. Also the new ds internet card, which gives the ds capability to browse the internet, I think is only compatible with the newer ds lite.
I’m not sure which is cheaper, but i don’t think you can get a new ds original, just a refurbished one.
