Query by AJS: How to connect nintendo DS to router with wpa. I have laptop but only wifi, way to broadcast wifi from laptop?
My roommate will not switch the safety from wpa to wep, and I can’t run a wire from the router to my laptop. Is there a way to re-broadcast a wifi signal from my laptop out to my nintendo ds with either no safety or wep?

If your laptop’s connection is wireless then you will not be in a position to “rebroadcast” for the reason that you are only permitted one particular connection. The only way your setup would work is if you bought an extra wireless card for your laptop (PCMCIA, USB, etc.) and setup Web Connection Sharing. Assuming you get a 2nd wireless card, you can follow http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/utilizing/networking/professional/crawford_02july01.mspx that tutorial.

Question by violete1: Does a black nintendo wii have any distinct attributes from the white 1?
Does the new black nintendo wii do anything that the white 1 doesn’t or is it just the colour that has altered? Thanks.

You get:
The Black Wii, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Sports, a Wii Remote, a Nunchuk, and the Wii Motion Plus.
And it costs exactly the same as the old white one ($ 200)
the wii menu is exactly the same, but i really wished Nintendo would make the menu be black
so basically its just the same wii, but a different color, but with the latest firmare update..

Extra Wiimote Silicone Jakcet(Black)
Wii Nunchuk(Black
Wii Sensor Bar
Wii Sports
Wii Sports Resort
AC Adaptor(i think)
AV connector; and the last but not the least
A BLACK WII
i forgot the Black Wii Stand. XDD

The Real Answer: There’s only 1 physical difference, and that’s the DVD drive inside.
It Depends on if you plan to softmod hack it or not like everyone else does.
Due to the new disc technology that is incorporated with these new black wiis, you CANNOT play DVDs, and CANNOT play burned game discs — even after softmod hacking. The hardware is different, and it cannot be done.
However, other methods of game-backup are completely usable. For example…
To play your games on your Wii via a USB drive, hit this link: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/Resource… and click the link for “Configurable USB Loader”. This will allow you to dedicate a hard drive to your Wii’s games, and view them in a nice cover-flow fashion.
Note: To do the above USB method, you’ll need to softmod your Wii (obviously). A simple noob guide can be found here: http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/ which even covers Black Wiis with the new LU64+ D3-2 drives.

But, if you decide playing DVDs, watching movies through a hard drive or jumpdrive, and playing hundreds of snes, nes, and other games via emulation is over-rated, then I guess it really shouldn’t matter to you at all.
Hope that clears things up!

Besides a few minor software & hardware modifications (mostly anti-modding & anti-piracy measures), they function just the same.

No. Both of them are completely the same, except for the color.

No, it does not, i went to buy mines just like 3 weeks ago, and i asked if there was any difference. they said that they have exactly the same games, which are 2 -wiisports resort and wiisports- and the same feautures, that the only difference was the color -white and black- the white one came out first though. i bought the white one.
